How to help Louisiana’s farmers affected by Hurricane Ida

Since Hurricane Ida hit Louisiana, many members of the Farm Bureau family across the nation have called and/or emailed offering assistance. While assessments are being conducted and we don’t know the full extent of the damages in every area, we do know it is overwhelming for some. Farmers and ranchers who are affected will need a lot of assistance and the effects of this event will be felt for a long time.

To assist, we have reestablished a Disaster Relief Fund and have reached out nationwide to our Farm Bureau family. If you are contacted by individuals or organizations wanting to donate, please forward the information below. This relief effort is one tool that can be used to get resources to the farmers and ranchers affected by the storm, just like we did last year following hurricanes Laura and Delta and 16 years ago following hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
