USDA Agricultural Research Service Leads Sugarcane Research & Variety Development

The United State Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Research  Service and its Sugarcane Research Unit in Houma, La. has been leading sugarcane research and variety development using breeding, genomics, precision ag techniques, integrated pest management, soil science and plant physiology for more than 100 years. The ARS-SRU has been working hand in hand with the LSU AgCenter and the American Sugarcane League to improve sugarcane in Louisiana. Watch the video to learn more.
