LSU Plant Science Symposium Registration Open

Beyond the Bayou: Advancing Plant Science in a Diverse and Changing Agricultural Region

For the first time, the Plant Science Symposium affiliated with the Corteva Symposia Series is being held at Louisiana State University and supported by Corteva Agriscience.

About the Symposium
The Beyond the Bayou Symposium, hosted by Louisiana State University and in partnership with Corteva Agriscience, is set to take place in the heart of South Louisiana. The stage has been set to bring together professionals, students, and scientists to address the challenges posed by climate, pests, and the landscape of the Southeastern United States. The goal is simple: to promote adaptation and innovation within the region’s agricultural industries through research and collaboration. By including renowned speakers from diverse agricultural disciplines, promoting student-led research, and highlighting industry innovation, we hope to spark creative action to tackle modern challenges in crop improvement. Content will include topics such as genetics and plant breeding, integrated pest management, precision agriculture, soil and water sciences, horticultural sciences, and agricultural sustainability.

The symposium is free and open to the public.
